Dr Zhang is a co-founder of BrainXell Inc (2015) and BrainXell Therapeutics Inc (2022). He is Professor and Director of the Center for Neurologic Diseases at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in San Diego. Before that he was Steenbock Professor in Behavioral & Neural Sciences and Professor of Neuroscience & Neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI as well as Provost Chair Professor and Director of the Signature Program in Neuroscience & Behavioral Disorders at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. Professor Zhang is an internationally recognized leader in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine and has received multiple awards for his scientific achievements with 25 awarded and several pending patents. He was a founding member of the WiCell Research Institute, Madison, WI.
